2015考研英语基础阶段翻译问题汇总（一）

目前阶段学员提交的翻译问题比较多，考研辅导老师给考生总结了常见的翻译问题，并且这些问题是一些基础的语法问题，希望考生引以为鉴，理解以下句子中的基本句型及语法分析：

1.In 1995 the CIA held a contest to see who could compile the most data about Burundi. Contest 是不是 to see的逻辑主语who修饰限定的是contest吗，修饰限定是几个意思，有什么不同吗？

解析：to see是contest的补语，who后引导的是see的宾语从句。修饰是使文字更加生动，限定是限制其范围及界限。

2. That kind of electronic spying has been going on for decades.

问题：1.That kind of electronic spying has been going on for decades.这句话是个简单句还是什么，that是什么，能去掉吗？has been怎么翻译，主干是什么？

解析：That是指示代词，has been going on for decades.是现在完成进行时，多年以来一直…主干是That kind of electronic spying has been going on for decades.

3. In the past three or four years, the World Wide Web has given birth to a whole industry of point-and-click spying. 问：to是什么，point-and-click看作什么？

解析：the World Wide Web has given birth to 这个to是跟着give birth 这个搭配的，像point-and-click看作形容词。

4. The spooks call it “open source intelligence”， and as the Net grows, it is becoming increasingly influential. as怎么理解？那后面it is becoming increasingly influential.又是个句子中间没连接词是省略了什么。

解析：and as the Net grows 是and后面那句话的状语，插入语是附加说明的，去掉后句子依然完整。后面的as在这是随着的意思。As有好多意思要根据语境分析到底是那种意思。同时要积累词汇中as的用法，只能去多记。主干：The spooks call it “open source intelligence” and引导的是两个独立的句子，it is becoming increasingly influential.没有省略，是and后的句子的主干。

5.Donovan believed in using whatever tools came to hand in the “great game” of espionage -- spying as a “profession.
解析：using whatever tools came to hand in the “great game” of espionage 是believe后整体作宾语，whatever在从句中作主语，came to hand 是从句中的谓语，in the “great game” of espionage是状语。as a “profession. AS 在这是副词作为的意思。

6.These days the Net, which has already re-made such everyday pastimes as buying books and sending mail, is reshaping Donovan’s vocation as well.

问：These days the Net 突然纠结，知道the net是主语，但是为什么用these days，such everyday pastimes as buying books and sending mail,这是such as 的形式还是such……as的形式

解析：these days 是时间状语，such as 和such……as的形式区别不大都是例如，像…一样的意思，后面又is reshaping Donovan’s vocation as well.这里as属于不同短语，as well是也，同样的意思。
