湖南大学教授、博士生导师、土木工程学院学术委员会委员,建筑环境与设备工程系副主任,教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”入选者,湖南大学首届优秀人才计划—“撷英计划”入选者,美国采暖制冷空调工程师学会(ASHRAE)正式会员。担任国际建筑性能仿真学会中国分会华中地区负责人(2005~),《暖通空调》和《建筑热能通风空调》杂志编审委员会委员,第10届国际建筑性能仿真学术会议(BS2007)组委会委员和学术委员会委员。曾为香港理工大学博士后、研究员和高级研究员,美国Oklahoma州立大学访问教授。先后到美国Nebraska-Lincoln大学、香港大学和香港城市大学等机构访问。
主持或参加完成国家自然科学基金和国际合作等科研项目20余项,其中主持国家自然科学基金项目3项,大型国际合作项目1项,省部重点项目2项。已发表学术论文180余篇,其中国际学术期刊论文33篇,三大检索收录100余篇次,SCI收录33篇,EI收录46篇,SCI引用130余次。出版专著2部,编写教材2部,获得实用新型专利6项,发明专利2项,登记著作权软件4部。研究成果获得国际优秀科技论文奖1篇(第1完成人),教育部自然科学奖二等奖1项(第1完成人),教育部科学技术进步奖一等奖1项(第2完成人),湖南省科学技术进步奖二等奖1项(第2完成人)。
